What top-grain means
Top-grain leather comes from the grain-side layer of the hide. For The Refined Grain Collection, the natural surface is lightly corrected to soften irregularities, then finished for a smoother and more consistent appearance.
This light correction is a deliberate finishing choice. It creates a quieter grain than Saffiano and a more even look than soft calf leather, while the protective finish helps resist light everyday marks. It remains genuine cow leather, so subtle signs of use can still appear over time.
